Angela Zhang, currently a sophomore at Harvard University, was the 2011 Siemens Math Science Technology Competition National Individual Winner and the recipient of a $100,000 scholarship.

Her research on cancer diagnostics and therapy has been featured on CNN and CBS. Additionally, Angela has presented her research to President Obama at the 2012 White House Science Fair.

Angela ZhangMost recently, Angela started Labs on Wheels, a non-profit organization that is dedicated to breaking down the resource barrier that hinders K-12 students from obtaining an in-depth and hands-on STEM education.

For her work with Labs on Wheels, she has received a $10,000 grant from the Harvard Undergraduate Women in Business Innovation Competition and been awarded as a 2013 Harvard Innovation Challenge Finalist.

She has had the fortunate opportunity of presenting her work at the 2013 TEDxSan Jose.

    But Angela Zhang spends her time somewhat more productively. The 17-year-old has found a possible cure for cancer.
