Avoid these 5 Triggers that Can Ruin Your Resolutions
Many people make New Year's resolutions each year. The most popular ones include losing weight, getting organized, spending less, staying fit, and quitting smoking.

But, according to Statisticbrain.com, only 14 percent of adults are able to keep their resolutions for the year, and many people stumble after the first month.

Why is it that our New Year's goals will mostly likely fail?

Stress, exhaustion, and frustration with how daunting the resolution may be all contribute to you falling off the wagon before you ever get on it in the first place.

There's also Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD), a form of depression that is closely related to the winter season. Instances of SAD tend to increase in frequency around and after the holidays.

What can you do to avoid triggers that can ruin your resolutions?
  1. Learn how to manage and identify stress.
  2. Don't over-schedule your time.
  3. Schedule quality down or "me" time.
  4. Don't let yourself feel hurried.
  5. Get enough quality sleep.

Listen in as Nicholas Kardaras, PhD, shares the five triggers that could ruin your resolutions and how to avoid them.
