Jan Hanson Nationally recognized food allergy expert, Jan Hanson, first became committed to educating her family and others about severe allergies when her youngest son was diagnosed with food allergies in 1992 at one-and-a-half years of age (her older son was diagnosed with several food allergies at the age of eighteen, as he headed off to college).

For more than 25 years, she has worked as an expert in food allergy management and education by conducting educational workshops for parents and school personnel/school nurses, regularly speaking at support group meetings and national conferences for food allergy education, providing guidance on school district policy and she's also the author of the popular book, Food Allergies: A Recipe for Success at School.
