Dr. Brent Haverstock joined UAB in 2018 and was appointed the Podiatry Director of the UAB Limb Salvage Center. Originally from Regina, Saskatchewan he received a Diploma in Podiatric Medicine from the Northern Ireland School of Podiatry and practiced clinical podiatry in Saskatchewan for four years.

It is predicted that by 2050 one in three Americans will have diabetes. Physicians need to be educated on symptoms and when to refer patients so as to avoid amputation.
