Pratap C. Reddy, MD, FACC is Joe E. Holoubek Professor of Medicine and Head of Cardiology Division in the Department of Medicine at LSU Health Sciences Center-Shreveport. Dr. Reddy joined LSU Medical School in 1984 as Professor of Medicine and Associate Chief of Cardiology Section. In 2002 he became the Head of that section.

Dr. Reddy is a member of 10 regional and national medical organizations and has served the American College of Cardiology, Louisiana Chapter and the American Heart Association of Louisiana in many capacities. He is a past president of the American Heart Association, Louisiana affiliate. He is listed in the Who is Who in America directory.

Dr. Reddy’s research interests are in Cardiac Arrhythmias, Cardiac Electrophysiology and Electropharmacology. He has authored or co-authored 78 original publications, 10 review articles and over a hundred abstracts. He has co-edited a book titled The Tachycardias. He has been an invited speaker at national and international meetings on topics related to cardiac arrhythmias, cardiac electrophysiology and electrocardiography. Dr. Reddy is also a reviewer of scientific manuscripts and grant proposals for multiple journals and organizations.
