Although it may at one point or another affect up to 10 percent of women, they often feel ashamed or unable to talk about it.

This has resulted in misinformation and poor communication around the condition, as well as depression and anxiety-producing stigma for women who experience it.

Counselor Rebecca Glavin shares some infertility myths, as well as how to deal with the emotional difficulties that come along with struggles to conceive.

Rebecca-GlavinRebecca Glavin is a therapist who works with adolescent and adult clients on issues related to self-esteem, body image, disordered eating, infertility, miscarriage, pregnancy, infidelity, anxiety and depression. She began her training in the Psychiatry Department of Children’s Hospital Boston and also earned her Masters in Business Administration and Masters in Social Work. Rebecca has worked at an Eating Disorder Treatment Center and in the Child and Adolescent as well as the Adult Inpatient Behavioral Health Units of Presbyterian Hospital in Charlotte, NC.
