Jay Cardiello, star of the ABC television show “My Diet is Better than Yours” and is the creator of "Jay Cardiello's No Diet Plan,” believes that the concept of diet and exercise might be making us all fat.

Cardiello is a big proponent of getting to the root problem, rather than focusing on what he considers the "effects" of those causes: diet plans and exercise regimens.

He also prefers to base behavioral intervention in simplicity instead of getting caught up in complicated diets or fitness plans.

Listen as Cardiello joins Dr. Friedman to share his thoughts on this topic, information from his TED Talk, his thoughts on the "gluten-free" craze, why fruit has been getting a bad rap as of late, and so much more.
