What are some weight loss tip for someone with diabetes?

Changing your diet and lifestyle is one of the most important things to adjust if you have diabetes. Exercise is crucial; even if it's walking for 30 or more minutes on a daily basis can help. You should be more conscious of how much and exactly what you're eating on a daily basis.

It's important to monitor your carb and sugar intake to make sure you're not worsening your condition.

Some foods that you should include in your diet are fiber, whole grains (stay away from refined grains like white bread, pasta, rice), healthy fats and oils, and lean protein.

What are the long-term health effects on caregivers?

By constantly putting other people's health above yours, you're putting yourself at risk for long-term damage.

According to the American Psychological Association, it's estimated that 40-70 percent of caregivers have clinically significant symptoms of depression.

The effects of being a caregiver can include feeling tired or run down; anxiety, depression, or irritability; feeling resentful; new or worsening health issues; drinking, eating, or smoking more; neglecting responsibilities; having less energy; and being increasingly impatient.

If you're feeling any of these symptoms, it's important to understand you're not alone and to reach out for some help.

I do yoga, but should I also be lifting weights?

Yoga and strength training on their own can be extremely beneficial to your health. But, according to an article on Mind Body Green, doing them together is even better. By combining yoga and strength training, you boost your endurance, build strength and flexibility, have controlled relaxation, and build muscle shape.
