Jennifer Trpkovski Jennifer Trpkovski, DO, specializes in nonoperative sports medicine and is board certified in family medicine. Dr. Trpkovski earned her medical degree from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in Erie, Pennsylvania.

She completed her family medicine residency at Botsford Hospital in Farmington Hills, Michigan, and completed a sports medicine fellowship at Virginia Tech/ Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine in Blacksburg, Virginia. Dr. Trpkovski's clinical interests include sports related concussions, nonsurgical musculoskeletal injuries and regenerative medicine.
Preventing Common Athletic Injuries
Throughout the school year, your child might have sparked an interest in playing in several sports. Even though this physical activity is great, as a parent you may be a little on edge and worry about your child's risk of injury.

While it's impossible to completely eliminate the risk of injury during sports participation, many injuries sustained during training and competition are avoidable... especially those injuries related to simply doing too much too often.
