Zika Virus: Mosquito Safety
Mosquitoes are pesky little bloodsuckers that are notorious for spreading disease. They’ve been in the news recently for their role in the spread of the Zika virus.

How can you practice mosquito safety so you can protect yourself from the Zika virus?

There are three Ds to mosquito safety:
  1. Drain water. Remove any standing water to eliminate the breeding ground for mosquitoes.
  2. Dress properly. Cover your arms and legs if you may be exposed to mosquitoes.
  3. Defend yourself. Get an EPA-registered mosquito repellant.
Mosquito expert Joe Conlon discusses the spread of the Zika virus and how to protect yourself from mosquitoes.
