With families stuck at home, a bleak side effect of the pandemic has been an increase in abuse. Joining us today to talk about child abuse during the COVID-19 pandemic is Dr. Melissa Peters - An Associate Professor and Medical Director of the CHIPS Center at Children’s of Alabama.

Our Healthcare Hero takes us to the cafeteria at Shriners Hospitals for Children in Portland Oregon. The manager of that department, Jacque DeVore has been providing a ‘grocery shopping’ option for staff that allows them to purchase a box of groceries from the hospital rather than going to the grocery store.
