acholonuDr. Acholonu is a pediatric hospitalist, providing care to pediatric inpatients at Tisch and Bellevue Hospitals. She is also the Residency Program Director for the Department of Pediatrics. Dr. Acholonu received her MD from the MCP Hahnemann School of Medicine, completed her residency at The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, and joined the NYU faculty in July 2005.
 




The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) released a list of specific tests or treatments that are commonly given to children, but are not always necessary.

The list identifies five targeted, evidence-based recommendations that can get you talking with your doctor about what tests and medications are actually necessary and which ones may not be.
