Immigrant children represent the fastest growing segment of the U.S. population.

One in every four children in the United States lives in an immigrant family.

Eighty-nine percent of these children are U.S. citizens.

But many immigrant children experience significant barriers to their health and well-being. Children of immigrants are nearly twice as likely to be uninsured as are children in non-immigrant families.

This can prevent children from receiving appropriate preventive care and medical treatment in a timely manner.

Does this seem fair?

The AAP has issued a release in support of access to care for immigrant children. It is the only way for us to ensure the future health of our children... all our children.

Join us and expert Dr. Gonzalo J. Paz-Soldan as we delve into the health care disparities among immigrant children and discuss the special situation of their health care needs.
