If your child has a developmental delay but is now entering his or her teens, transitioning to an "adult" doctor can be a challenge.

In fact, that progression from a pediatrician to adult health care can be a bit scary.

The waiting rooms are not as colorful.

There are no Highlights magazines to look through.

And the doctors can be a bit more serious - even off-putting.

All of this might be an even harder transition for a child that has developmental disabilities.

But there is hope. Expert guest, Dr. Beth Ellen Davis, shares some important tips for making the health care conversion from kid, to teen, to adult.
