Kids & Tech: Time to Get Their Own Device?
With all the media devices out there, how do you know when it's the right time to allow your children's introduction to cell phones and iPads?

Media technology is becoming a regular part of children's lives. More and more schools are incorporating technological devices such as iPads and computers into the classroom and learning experience. And, cell phones are used for more than just calling people.

But do these media devices help or hinder your child's education and growth?

As a parent, it's important to monitor when and how your child is accessing these devices.

Dr. David Hill and Melanie Cole, MS, discuss when it's time to give your child his first cell phone or iPad, as well as tips on making sure your child is using these devices appropriately.
