Guest Bio: Dr. Charlie Seltzer, MD
Dr. Charlie Seltzer is the only physician in the country board certified in Obesity Medicine and certified by the American College of Sports Medicine as a Clinical Exercise Specialist. Dr. Seltzer graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with a major in Neurobiology. He attended Jefferson Medical College and completed an Internal Medicine Residency at Crozer Chester Medical Center, where he was voted Senior Resident of the Year and was the recipient of the Steven A. Morgenstern, M.D. Award, which is given to the resident who “best demonstrates commitment, empathy and joy in the care of patients.” His medical practice, borne out of his own transformation (He lost 75 pounds using the principles he now teaches his patients) helps people lose fat and live longer, healthier lives.

Dr. Seltzer focuses on making small, maintainable changes which lead to significant, permanent results. He offers nutritional counseling, medication and bioidentical hormone replacement therapy, exercise prescription and supplement recommendations. Dr. Seltzer customizes each plan to best suit the individual patient's needs. Dr. Seltzer has appeared on Fox News, ABC News, NBC Health Watch and eHow.com. He will also appear on the 2013 season premier of National Geographic’s Taboo. He is a contributing writer at builtlean.com and was awarded BeWellPhilly’s Best Weight Loss Advice Award in 2012.

Obesity is now classified as a disease by the American Medical Association. If that's truly the case -- that obesity is a disease -- what is the AMA's plan to treat and cure this dangerous epidemic?

Fortunately, doctors are becoming more and more aware of the problem.

Dr. Charlie Seltzer is the only physician in the country board certified in Obesity Medicine. He joins Dr. Mike to discuss his approach for curing our country’s dangerous obesity epidemic.

Both doctors will discuss the latest in nutritional counseling, medication, hormone replacement, exercise and supplement recommendations.
