A seven-time All-Star, Worthy was voted one of the top 50 NBA players of all time in 1996, and was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2003. His jersey (#42) is only one of nine retired by the Los Angeles Lakers.

Off the court and out of the studio, Worthy is a motivational speaker and, through the James Worthy Foundation, a dedicated philanthropist. The James Worthy Foundation has an explicit purpose: to help at-risk youth, military veterans, and their communities.
