The Successful Student Athlete
Recent articles have inflamed parents to rally against sports and athletics in favor of academic performance in their children's schools.

But if kids don't have that opportunity to run around and expel some of their pent-up energy, studies have shown they can't concentrate as well in the classroom.

Kids need that physical activity to get the blood flowing to their brains.

Is there a happy medium?

As a parent, what can you do to ensure your child is getting the right balance of sports and education?

Special guest, Dr. Mike Bergeron, joins host Melanie Cole, MS, to discuss the importance of athletics on academic success, as well as how to create a healthy balance between the two.
