You've Been Diagnosed with IBS: Now What?
Gluten intolerance and celiac disease aren't often tested in a typical allergist's office, even though you may have all of the symptoms of either one of those conditions or the broader issue of irritable bowel syndrome (IBS).

These symptoms can include gas, bloating, diarrhea, constipation, pain, cramping, and acid reflux. Some individuals suffer just one or two, but many experience a combination of them all.

If you're eventually diagnosed with IBS, it can be a relief that you don't have something more "serious," like tumors or gallstones.

But, a diagnosis doesn't mean that you're immediately cured.

IBS is not something that is solved with a drug. In order to truly ease your symptoms, you need to get to the bottom of the root cause. Is it a bacterial problem? Are you reacting to a certain ingredient or food? Might you have a parasite?

At the IBS Treatment Center, the doctors work to find the main culprit and get you on the path to wellness. They use a variety of tests, including DNA stool tests and food tests, to rule out causes and get to the core problem.

Dr. Stephen Wangen, co-founder of the IBS Treatment Center, joins Dr. Susanne to discuss the symptoms of IBS and other digestive ailments, as well as how he and his team work to get to the underlying causes of your symptoms.
