When horrible acts of terror occur, there are those who rise to the occasion and help the injured, including our nation's emergency room physicians.

By many accounts, Boston's emergency system worked brilliantly and saved many lives.

So, what can other cities take away and learn from this event? How could response and treatment be improved?
