Dr. LeslieBeth Wish is a nationally honored psychologist and licensed clinical social worker, specializing in women's issues in love, life, and work. For QualityHealth.com, a top ten health site, she writes an expert column and serves on their Medical Advisory Board.

She has long been concerned about women's self-defeating behaviors in love, life and work. The National Association of Social Workers has named her as One of Fifty in the Field, and she is the subject of biographical entries in many of the Marquis Who's Who. Dr. Wish has been quoted widely as an expert for publications such as Women's Health, Self and More.

Dr. Wish first came to prominence for her pioneering research and work with women's hidden obstacles to career development. That research sparked her growing concern about why today's career-minded women are often smart about work but not love. Her clients wanted answers to questions such as: Why does my man seem so different now from how he was in the beginning? Why can't I recover easily from emotional hurts? So, she began a five-year research project to learn and then help these successful women. Soon to be published are a pair of self-help books that discuss the surprising findings, and offer innovative exercises and advice. The main book, Smart Relationships, will be published by New Horizon Press in June/July. The companion book, The Love Adventures of Almost Smart Cookie, follows the love mistakes of her cartoon character Cookie, a successful attorney. Each of the 52 cartoon strips is based on a key finding, and includes three tips. It will be available soon on Amazon.
