Autoimmune diseases arise from an abnormal immune response by the body against substances and tissues normally present in the body.
Did you know there are more than 80 illnesses caused by autoimmunity? In fact, The National Institutes of Health estimate more than 23.5 million Americans suffer from an autoimmune disease.
Autoimmune diseases can affect anyone; but if you have a family history of autoimmune disease, are young-to-middle aged, and are exposed to certain environmental agents, you have a higher risk.
Can your nutrition and what you give your body make a difference? Can YOU help cure yourself?
This was the case for Ray Doustdar. When he began noticing discoloration of his skin; he sought out a dermatologist and discovered that he had Vitiligo, an autoimmune disease that causes white patches of skin to appear on different parts of the body. Doctors told Doustdar that there was nothing they could really do.
But that was not an option for him.
Known as the "Everyday Juicer," Ray joins Dr. Holly to share his personal story of his autoimmune disease, how he cured himself and the alternative treatment options for other autoimmune diseases.
