Excessive Alcohol Risk in Men
You may know that too much alcohol can cloud your judgment, cause injuries, increase risky behavior, and cause unwanted health problems.

But, do men know that too much booze could cause long-term health issues like damaging their sperm and also boosting blood pressure?

According to the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), excessive drinking includes binge drinking, heavy drinking, any drinking by pregnant women or people under the age of 21. For women, four or more drinks during one occasion and for men, five drinks or more during one occasion is considered excessive drinking. The CDC also indicates that men are more likely to drink excessively than women.

What are the risks men face by excessively drinking alcohol?

Most people associate binge drinking with someone who constantly cures a hangover, has gotten a DUI, or is deemed an alcoholic. However, even though these might indicate there might be other problems associated with binge drinking, excessive alcohol can also cause low sperm count and testosterone problems (constantly feeling fatigued), as well as mess with your appearance (withering testicles, enlargement of men's breasts, hair loss).

What else do you need to know about risks associated with excessive alcohol drinking in men?

John McManus, MD, discusses the excessive alcohol risks associated with men and shares advice that could improve your health.
