Environmental Toxins & Your Fertility
Infertility can be frustrating, especially if you and your partner are ready for that next step in your relationship and can't seem to find answers to why you're having difficulties conceiving.

Infertility is the inability to get pregnant, even though you and your partner have been having frequent unprotected sex for at least six months to a year. As you may know, as you age your chances of conceiving begin to decrease. According to Resolve, the National Infertility Association, one in eight married couples has trouble getting pregnant or sustaining pregnancy.

There could be many reasons behind your infertility struggle, but did you ever think it could be the toxins within your environment?

There are over 70,000 industrial chemicals in your environment and 1,000 new toxins are introduced every year. Even if you do your best to protect yourself from these chemicals, you can have up to 400-500 measurable levels of toxins in your bloodstream.

How can you lower your exposure to environmental toxins?

  • Start looking at labels in your cosmetics
  • Use the App, Think Dirty while shopping for natural products
  • Try to avoid air freshener sprays
  • Avoid dry-cleaning your clothes, or use cleaners who are certified natural
Sarah Corey, AADP, joins Dr. Holly to discuss infertility and how environmental toxins could be causing you and your partner to struggle with conceiving.
