According to a study conducted by Stanford University Medical School, teenagers are clear about the risks of smoking traditional tobacco cigarettes, but less so when it comes marijuana or e-cigarettes.
The findings, published in the Journal of Adolescent Health, suggest that while teens get clear messages about the dangers of tobacco cigarettes, they receive little and conflicting information from the media, families, teachers, and peers about marijuana and e-cigarettes.
What were the findings of the study?
Christopher Yadron, MDiv, MA, LCPC, CADC, joins Melanie Cole, MS, to discuss the recent study on teens and their unfamiliar risk with e-cigarettes and marijuana.
