From the Show: Health Radio
Summary: What are some ways to keep grounded during stressful times?
Air Date: 7/13/15
Duration: 10
Host: Melanie Cole, MS
Guest Bio: Jason Garner, Author
JasonJames Garner spent the first 37 years running through life holding his breath. Raised by a single mom, moving from house to house, working really hard in school and later in business, believing that to be loved, he had to be the best.

Jason scrapped his way from a weekend job at a flea market to owning his own concert company and all the way to becoming an executive at a Fortune 500 company. He was married twice, divorced twice, raised two children largely on his own, met rock stars and sports legends, made a bunch of money and then... a series of events centered around the sudden death of his mom brought his life to a halt and his ego to its knees.

Jason took a break from the endless treadmill of his life and got to know himself at the feet of amazing teachers. He studied health and spirituality and the inner-workings of his mind, he met the woman of his dreams, and, for the first time in his life... he breathed.

5 Tools for Creating Space
Whether it's physically, emotionally, or mentally, "space" is essential in order for growing, learning and living.

However, if you're constantly suffocated due to the incessant hyper-focus on every detail of your life (negativity, stress, materialistic items you may not have), you may begin to feel trapped.

What are the five tools for creating space?
  1. Breathe
  2. Stretch
  3. See the space
  4. Zoom in and out
  5. Try it on

Jason Garner joins Melanie Cole, MS, to share these five tools for creating space, as well as why it's so important to stay grounded during stressful times in your life.
