Tips for Making a Perfect Salad
Summer is a great time for salads, and the concept of salads have come a long way.

You can be much more creative than a simple lettuce concoction.

Beets, black olives, sprouted chickpeas, nuts, cheese, and flax seeds can all raise the "salad bar" for your next meal.

Alternately, you can make a really hearty salad with just a few ingredients that aren't even lettuce-based.

Pamela Salzman is a certified holistic health counselor and loves to share her approach to nutrition through her natural foods cooking classes.

Pamela joins host Lisa Davis to share some of her favorite salad recipes, as well as tips for ease of preparation (such as cutting up vegetables days in advance).
