Caloric Timing: When to Eat
While a calorie is a calorie in a test tube, its value to the body varies based on the body’s circadian rhythms.

Eating more food earlier in the day means you can maximize your health and weight loss. Ease up on the eating when the food goes down. While this breaks the norm of American eating, it improves sleep, boosts energy during the day and reduces snacking. It’s best to eat when the sun is out or should be out.

Calories consumed in the morning have less impact on the waistline than the calories you consume after 7 p.m.

Listen as Dr. Michael Roizen joins Dr. Pamela Peeke to discuss how when you eat affects your health.
