Q&A
Dear Dr. Friedman. I’ve been a long-time listener and love your show. My question is about lectins. A cardiologist named Dr. Gundry is claiming this is a poisonous toxin in beans and legumes, tomatoes and many other things. I just got his book and it says eating these can cause weight gain, autoimmune disease, and even cancer. What’s your opinion on lectins?
-Nancy, Ashville NC

Dr. Friedman. I love to salt my food. Is salt really as bad for us as we’ve been lead to believe?
-Paul, Michigan

What is Soluble Corn Fiber? Is it good for you? I was given a sample of KETO Matcha and saw soluble corn fiber as an ingredient and I wanted to get your opinion.
-Michelle, Gulf Breeze

Dr. Friedman, after reading your book Food Sanity, I totally eliminated cows milk from my diet. The results have been amazing. My skin has cleared up, I lost weight, my sinus infection went away and I sleep better. I can’t believe how brainwashed I was believing milk does a body good. Thank you for such helpful advice. My question is, my daughter loves milk with her cereal. Is there a dairy alternative you can recommend?
-Jennifer, Albuquerque NM

Dr. Friedman, I’ve heard you recommend extra virgin olive oil but what’s your opinion on avocado oil. Good or bad?
-Amy, Tarpon Springs Florida

Does cooking food in my Instant Pot ruin nutrients?
-Glenda, Michigan

Dr. Friedman, I’m trying to eat more fruits and vegetables, but I don’t have time to go to the grocery store every week. Am I missing out on any nutritional benefits by eating frozen produce instead of fresh?
-Richard, Farmington NY

Dear Doc Friedman. I’m a long-time listener and love your show. My question is, should I be worried about the sugar in fruit?
-Shelly, St. Petersburg Florida

Is there anything natural that’s good to help relieve anxiety?
-Dan, Atlanta GA
