EP 82 - The Bon-Vivant Girl: Hungry for Happy

Summary: You cannot truly be healthy if you are not happy.
Air Date: 3/20/19
Duration: 30:11
Host: Dr. Ward Bond
Guest Bio: Nathalie Botros, The Bon-Vivant Girl
Certified health coach, psychotherapist, and author Nathalie Botros brings a unique perspective to the holistic health game with a playful and practical (and very European) approach.

Born in Lebanon, raised in Turkey, studied and lived in Switzerland and Italy, Nathalie lives today in the fast-paced life of New York.

She has started her first diet while she was studying in a Swiss boarding school because everybody was doing it and it she had to follow fashion. Her "diet" hobby became a profession when she moved to New York and gained 40 pounds in a year. She tried every “little black dress of diets” for years until she has decided that she had to stop the insanity of the weight loss world and start a lifestyle.

During her journey, she discovered that life is not all about losing the weight, but about being happy and healthy. The Bon-Vivant Girl lifestyle was born.

In Nathalie’s approach, "well living" (or bon-vivant, in French) starts from realizing that to succeed in all facets of life; you need to start by being happy. And happiness starts by developing self-love and respect…and a little common sense, of course.

By forgoing all diets and focusing on believing in herself and the things that made her truly joyful she became happier and more fulfilled day-by-day – she even shed her weight in the process. Now she is sharing her story and philosophies in hopes that others will find the same success by abandoning the downward spiral of costly, go-nowhere diets. Her book “IF YOU ARE WHAT YOU EAT SHOULD I EAT A SKINNY GIRL?” is not a diet book. It is the ultimate ANTI-diet health and lifestyle guide which is full of tips and tricks to be a happier, healthier you.
