Kathleen Hughes is a former staff reporter for the Wall Street Journal in New York and Los Angeles bureaus. Having freelanced for many years, mostly for the Wall Street Journal's Encore section but also for WSJ's Page One, her stories have also appeared recently in the New York Times, Los Angeles Times and Vogue. 


Hughes currently lives in Los Angeles and New York with her husband, a cardiac surgeon and their two millennial children live in New York. Hughes has done 40 triathlons in the last seven years and qualified for the ITU Multisport Championships in the Netherlands this fall.
