President Obama recently hosted a Conference on Mental Health at the White House, at which he addressed the looming mental health crisis in our nation.

According to the The Annals of Emergency Medicine, emergency departments are being seen as "de facto" psych wards due to the lack of facilities available to help individuals struggling with mental health issues.
