There are plenty of reasons to kick your sugar habit, including benefits to your weight, energy levels and even your appearance. But it's hard to give up your favorite cookies, candies and other sugary treats when you're used to having them on a regular basis.

Your sweet tooth may not even be due to lack of self-control or motivation. Studies have shown that sugar can be as addictive - if not more addictive - than street drugs like cocaine.

Whether its sugar or artificial sweeteners, the consumption of something "sweet" triggers the same receptors in your brain as drugs and alcohol.

But imagine the pros of giving it all up, even just for your appearance... clearer, acne-free skin; a toned, glowing complexion; reduced occurrence of inflammatory skin conditions such rosacea, eczema, and psoriasis.
