Psychology of Colors in Healthcare Spaces
If you've ever been in a hospital, or have been visiting a loved one, the blank white walls can create an uneasy feeling, as well as a negative impact on healing.

According to Color Connections, certain colors come with a set of psychological properties that can help heal. For example:
  • Red is a stimulating color and can be used to help people with chronic fatigue.
  • Blue is a soothing color and also can symbolize the sky. Blue can help calm patients who might be suffering from insomnia, anxiety, and high blood pressure.
  • Yellow is a color many associate with the sun, as well as a cleanser for both your body and mind.
  • Green is a color of balance and harmony.

What are some other colors that help heal?

Mitra Pakdaman, IIDA, shares why colors play and important role in healing, as well as what each color symbolizes.
