What Role Do Parents Play in a Child's Academic Success?
How much of a student's success is a result of the school and how much because of family and environment?

While it's true that schools have a hand in a child's performance, parents also play a huge role.

Studies show that regardless of race/ethnicity, class, or parents' level of education, there is a strong correlation between family involvement and a student's success. Children whose parents are involved have higher grades and test scores, better school attendance, increased motivation and decreased use of drugs and alcohol.
