Fitness, Vision & Balance: Why People Fall
Have you ever suddenly fallen, sprained your ankle and tried to just "walk it off"?

Your lifelong physical history and previous injuries play a important role in your proprioception, which is defined as "the unconscious perception of movement and spatial orientation arising from stimuli within the body itself."

If you have a weak core or previous broken bones, you can get your balance back by getting proper physical therapy and strength training with a trained professional.

Fitness Analyst, David Lightcap, discusses our dependence on vision to maintain balance.
