Introduction to Intraocular Inflammation
Internal ocular inflammation is oftentimes called uveitis.

While the specific cause of uveitis may be unknown, it is often caused by a robust response by your own body’s immune system to an external pathogen or other internal disease process.

Uveitis can have many causes, including eye injury and inflammatory diseases.

Exposure to toxic chemicals such as pesticides and acids used in manufacturing processes also can cause uveitis.

Host of The Wizard of Eyes, Dr. Robert Abel, welcomes back Dr. Ravi Patel, a renowned ophthalmologist and refractive surgeon, to share his wisdom about the causes of intraocular inflammation and what you can do it treat it.
