Joel Seedman Dr. Joel Seedman, PhD, CSCS, ACSM, obtained his doctoral degree in kinesiology from the University of Georgia (UGA). During this time he studied the neurophysiological mechanisms of resistance training as well as various factors relating to performance and health. He received his Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Exercise Science from Indiana University.

With over 12 years of performance consulting, strength coaching, personal training, and nutritional counseling, Joel has worked with a wide variety of clientele. As the owner of Advanced Human Performance (AHP) in Atlanta, Georgia, Joel has had the opportunity to work with professional athletes, bodybuilders, figure competitors, elderly individuals, and special populations. In order to maximize performance and health, Joel helps his clientele improve muscle function, performance, and movement mechanics. He also writes for various fitness magazines and publications.
