Her science writing has been published in the New York Times, Washington Post, El Mundo and the Times of London. She was formerly the editor in chief of Nature Neuroscience, a leading scientific journal in the field of brain research, and received her undergraduate degree in biophysics from Johns Hopkins University and Ph.D. in neuroscience from the University of Rochester.
