New Technology for Cervical Cancer Screenings
An abnormal pap smear is cause for further investigation. With technological developments, assessment becomes easier and faster.

Colposcopy is a screening procedure that follows an abnormal pap smear. A special solution is applied to the cervix. A colposcope is used to see which areas turn white, indicating abnormal cells. A cervical biopsy may then be necessary.

Medical device expert, Kim Stebbings, joins host Melanie Cole to discuss this new technology.
