How to Feed Your Gut Bacteria for Better Health
Overall health starts in the gut. That's why it's so important to support the integrity of the gut wall.

These elements are important for "feeding" your gut bacteria for better health:

L-glutamine. Amino acid that drives gut cell metabolism, building, and repair. Naturally occurring in animal protein. Not found in a lot of plant foods, but it is in cabbage. If supplementing, powder is the best option.

Probiotics & Prebiotics. Aids in gut health and healthy digestion. Can be consumed via fermented foods or supplementation (kimchi, sauerkraut, miso, tempeh, kefir, etc.).

Listen as Desiree Nielsen, BSc, RD, discusses gut health, including how poor gut health manifests as other health conditions such as fatigue or arthritis. Desiree also shares information on leaky gut syndrome and how to address it and other gut-based conditions.
