Guest Bio: Seth Swirsky
Seth-SwirskySeth Swirsky, a New Haven, Connecticut native, is a Beverly Hills-based therapist and author. His is also a Grammy-nominated American pop music songwriter, recording artist, filmmaker, political writer, and noted baseball memorabilia collector.

In 1980, at the age of 20, Swirsky wrote the national jingle for Thomas' English Muffins. After graduating from Dartmouth College in 1982, Swirsky wrote the Grammy-nominated hit "Tell It To My Heart" with Ernie Gold for Taylor Dayne. Following this hit, Swirsky went on to write or co-write many hits for artists such as Al Green, Tina Turner, Rufus Wainwright, Michael McDonald, Air Supply, Olivia Newton-John, The Go-Go's, and Celine Dion, among many others. A recording artist in his own right, Swirsky has released five award-winning albums of his own.

His love of baseball led him to write three books on the subject. Baseball Letters, the first of Swirsky's four books, was published in 1996. Every Pitcher Tells A Story, Swirsky's second book, was a Los Angeles Times bestseller. Something to Write Home About, the third book in the trilogy, consists of letters to Swirsky from both ballplayers and fans of the game.

Swirsky’s fourth book, newly released, is 21 Ways to a Happier Depression: A Creative Guide to Getting Unstuck from Anxiety, Setbacks, and Stress.

In addition to baseball, Swirsky is also a huge fan of The Beatles. His full-length documentary, Beatles Stories, was chosen as an Official Selection at the 2011 European Independent Film Festival and had its world premiere in Paris, France on April 3, 2011. Beatles Stories was nominated for Best Score for an Indie Film or Documentary at the 2013 Hollywood Music and Media Awards.

Swirsky has contributed articles to online sites such as Real Clear Politics, The National Review (NRO), Huffington Post, PoliticalMavens.com and Jewish Journal.

On June 23, 2013, Swirsky received a Master's Degree in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University.
