EP 167 - Eating Disorders in Males: What to Look For
Very often we associate eating disorders with young women, but nearly 25 percent of people who suffer from eating disorders are male.

The way eating disorders manifest in males can be different than in young women. It can hit at a different age, be trickier to spot, and may take the form of overexercising rather than purging or food deprivation.

Regardless of how or when an eating disorder presents itself, it can be very damaging both physically and mentally. It's important to know what to look for and how to talk to your son, brother, or husband about what they are going through.

Samuel Pollen, who had an eating disorder as a child, shares his story in the hopes of shedding light on non-stereotypical sufferers.

Listen as Samuel joins Dr. Taz to discuss eating disorders in boys and young men.
