Melissa-Katz croppedMelissa Katz has been involved with the Southeast Yoga Conference (SEYC) as Co-Director, along Nicole Jurovics, since its inception in 2006. In addition to her role in the SEYC, Melissa has been teaching yoga since 2006 and is recognized as E-RYT 500, Yoga Alliance’s highest designation. Prior to teaching yoga and her role as SEYC Co-Director, Melissa was a health care business consultant for ten years.

is the Co-founder and Co-Director of the SEYC along with Melissa Katz. She has helped make it one of the premier yoga events in the southeast, with tremendous growth in attendance, sponsorships and variety of classes and teachers. Nicole has been teaching yoga since early 2004, with Decatur Yoga & Pilates as her home base. She also works in the music business managing the career of one artist/producer and booking live music for a private club and one annual music festival.

Melissa Katz & Nicole Jurovics are the co-directors of the Southeast Yoga Conference, which is held in Atlanta and is one of the biggest yoga events in the U.S.

In addition to all the coordination and logistics for the conference, Nicole and Melissa are also both certified yoga instructors and long-time practitioners, so they are really the experts on our topic for this segment: the physical and mental health benefits of a yoga practice.
