Surviving Perimenopause
It seems everyone knows about hot flashes and night sweats as symptoms of perimenopause. However, there are other symptoms that may not be as apparent.

Hormonal shifts within the body can prompt a variety of symptoms that may be interpreted as other conditions. Brain fog, memory loss, mood swings, depression, and anxiety may stem from those hormonal changes. Heart palpitations sometimes result from hormones. Fatigue and weight gain are very common.

A modified ketogenic diet with plenty of healthy fats to feed the hormones can ease the distress of perimenopausal weight gain. Healthy proteins and elimination of snacks can also help one lose that extra weight.
