Depression & Your Child: Don't Miss the Signs
It can be hard to know when kids are going through a "phase" of being moody and getting into trouble at school, or if they're suffering from depression.

If your child or teen has been diagnosed with depression, or if he just doesn't seem like himself lately, you may be at a loss... especially if you've never dealt with depression yourself.

In this segment, psychologist Deborah Serani, PhD, shares her extensive knowledge of childhood depression, including her own experience of being a depressed child.

Dr. Serani's latest book, Depression and Your Child: A Guide for Parents and Caregivers, is a reassuring, practical guide on understanding your child's condition, the current research and treatments, and how to move forward as a family.
