Kelly A. Turner, PhD, is a researcher, lecturer, and counselor in the field of Integrative Oncology whose specialized research focus is the radical remission of cancer.

Her specialized research focus is the Radical Remission of cancer, which is a remission that occurs either in the absence of Western Medicine, or after Western Medicine has failed to achieve remission. Kelly’s interest in complementary medicine began when she received her B.A. from Harvard University, and it later became the sole focus of her Ph.D. at the University of California, Berkeley.

Her dissertation research included a year-long trip around the world, for which she traveled to ten different countries to interview 50 holistic healers and 20 Radical Remission cancer survivors about their healing practices and techniques.

In addition to her ongoing research, writing, and lecturing, Dr. Turner also provides one-on-one Integrative Cancer Consultations to cancer patients who are interested in integrating complementary medicine approaches with their Western oncology treatment.

Dr. Turner lives in New York City.
Surviving Cancer: Secrets to Beating the Disease
The risk of developing cancer in the average lifetime is about 40 percent.

With those kinds of chances, wouldn't you like to know the secret to beating cancer?

Kelly A. Turner, PhD, thinks she knows those secrets.

Turner is founder of the Radical Remission Project. In this week's segment, she shares what she learned from studying the world's most amazing cases of people who went into radical (or unexpected) remission -- when people recovered without the help of conventional medicine or after conventional medicine had failed.

Her inspiring book, Radical Remission: Surviving Cancer Against All Odds, explains nine factors that can lead to a spontaneous remission from cancer and may even help terminal patients turn their lives around.
