And stress is no friend when it comes to warding off the signs of aging.

Excessive or chronic stress has a detrimental effect on the hormones you need to keep you looking and feeling young. A huge variety of stressors affect you daily, from the noise and pollution of crowded cities to work, driving, lack of sun exposure, loneliness, and much more.

When these stressors accumulate, they disrupt the delicate hormone balance, including the hormone cortisol, that affects everything from how slowly you lose weight to how fast your skin wrinkles.  

A condition called adrenal fatigue, or adrenal exhaustion, can result.
