When it comes to avocados, many people are afraid of the number of calories and fat.
Your mind might immediately go to the avocado staple of yummy, rich guacamole.
But guess what? It's not about the calories, nor the fat.
Avocados contain monounsaturated fat, which is a healthy fat that helps reduce bad cholesterol and raise good cholesterol. Plus, it's full of folate (B vitamin) and high in potassium... even higher than bananas.
Aside from things like guacamole or adding avocados to salads or sandwiches, you can also make sweet things with avocados, including chocolate pudding, rice pudding, mousse and even avocado brownies.
