What Is Mutual Awakening?

You may have heard of the concept of "awakening;" arising to a higher consciousness and awareness.

But what is mutual awakening?

Mutual awakening refers to awakening together as individuals; turning towards each other in a particular way that allows you to have the same subjective experience.

Normal awakening can occur in situations when you're meditating or working on yourself in a particular way and you become more aware or connected to the deeper realms of consciousness in yourself. Everything starts to feel very three dimensional and bright/vivid, both physically and mentally.

Taking that a step further, mutual awakening is learning and discovering how you enter into being with another person so that you actually experience this awakening together. So, instead of having individual awakening experiences, you're actually inside the same place; the same subjective experience.

Not only are you truly awake, but you can be taken to higher and higher states of "unity consciousness."

What if you could turn toward other human beings in this way on a regular basis? Not as lovers, per se, but in the way that lovers are with each other (at least in the beginning stages); with such openness, interest, engagement and transparency.
